TackleLondon launch event

On March 8th, 2024, TackleLondon's representatives from three charities participated in a rugby coaching session led by MRRF at Meridian High School, Croydon. Under the guidance of Aiden, an experienced and skilled coach trained by Matt Ratana, five rugby sessions were conducted for the students at Meridian High School, with support from our team.

We received a warm welcome from Assistant Head Robyn Wallace, a staunch advocate for TackleLondon, instrumental in bringing our program to Meridian School. Our event was honoured by the presence of local Croydon MP Sarah Jones and Stephen Akinsanya, Barrister and Community Lead actively bringing awareness of knife crime. Both individuals recognise the transformative potential of TackleLondon in the local community and schools. They graciously provided interviews, highlighting the positive impact expected in Croydon. Empowering young people at the Urban Rugby Championships!

Over 230 kids from minority and under-resourced communities across America came together for the 2024 Urban Rugby Championships in Washington DC. Ed Cooper Memorial Fund

Ed was a big personality who lived life to the full, was loved dearly by his family and friends, and is missed hugely by all who knew him. He was a talented sportsman who enjoyed playing both codes of rugby and cricket. Following Ed’s death in 2016, this Memorial Fund was established to honour his memory.

Atlas South Africa

Atlas South Africa was founded in 2018 after a successful Atlas Trek to Botswana and Zimbabwe, attended by South African Rugby Champions. Since then, six projects across 3 southern African countries have guided 49,437 children through education, mentoring, health, and employment opportunities for their future.
